Best Korean Market in Chicago, IL is in Avondale Hood
July 4th, 2006 by Administrator You like Korean? Are you Korean? A Wannabe Korean? Well then my dear confused soul one stop in your journey you must take is in the Avondale neighborhood to the
Chicago Food Corp
(773) 478-5566

Chicago, IL 60618
off of Kimball/Belmont. They have everything from dried mushrooms to An ENTIRE AISLE OF KIMCHI OR Kimchi related products. You can also find great deals on natural woven mats. The kind you want to buy from Pier 1 or like places, but do not want to spend that kind of money. Oh yes there is also a great Korean lunchroom inside the store to get your favorite Korean Barbecue chop sae, dumplings and much more!
There is something that caught my eye as I was walking in the entrance. A beauty store that is about as small as a large closet. Beautifully done in such a small place. I love being able to get things such as the great invention of Pocky. What you have not heard of this??? Imagine the cookies inside a Twix as a thin pretzel-like stick dipped in dreamy chocolate. Just enough chocolate to make you want to eat the whole package! Also, you will find a full-line meat department. You must make this a MUST GO place! The loud Korean men behind the corner make you believe that you are no longer in Chicago. But you are. This is Chicago, Korean Markets and all! Thank whomever you want, but we live in Chicago. Amen.
